Our Mission
Our Vision...
Our vision for the Esther House is to provide a safe
environment to
allow women to grow spiritually, emotionally and physically. Our goal is to
equip women with the necessary tools to enable them to escape the
vicious cycle of abuse and regain their self-worth. We will equip,
enable and inspire them through Jesus Christ.
Our Primary Purpose...
Our
hope and prayer for the women who commit to the 6- to 18-month program
is to give them a well-grounded, well-balanced life. We intend to do
this by laying out a Bible-based discipleship program along with
individual studies geared toward specific needs and hurts. We will also
assist in furthering the women’s education, along with teaching them
basic skills to help them function in today's society, such as
balancing a budget, and writing a resume. Many abusers restrict
victims' access to finances and the ability to support themselves
financially. Domestic violence victims often end a violent relationship
with serious economic concerns that range from credit issues, lack of
financial knowledge, limited budgeting experience, and limited
resources. One of our goals is to bring victims of domestic violence
back into the economic mainstream by providing them with the tools
necessary to build their economic futures along with helping them gain
their independence and make the necessary choices to better their own
lives and the lives of their children.
Your
Help...
We had a monumental task ahead of us. We needed
approximately $10,000 to
renovate the home we have been blessed to lease at a minimal cost per
year. Praise God! We
raised the funds necessary to renovate the residence and we are now in
full operation! We have both residential and
non-residential women
participating in the program. We thank the people who believe in our
cause helped
support the ministry with monthly pledges. Our estimated budget is
about $3,500 per month. Our prayer were answered when you helped us
with this
endeavor. Your support will do so much to establish and maintain Esther
House and enable these deserving women to create a new life for
themselves and their children.
The Journey Begins...
The number of physically abused women is staggering.
Statistics tell us
that one in three women experience some form of domestic violence. We
must keep in mind that these numbers come from those battered women who
seek help. Many women are not included statistically because they keep
secret the suffering and indignity of abuse. The Journey of 1,000 miles
begins with just one step, we are asking that you take the first step
with us.
