Our Mission
Our
Vision...
Our vision for the Esther House is to provide a safe environment
to allow women to grow spiritually, emotionally and physically.
We want to equip women with the necessary tools to enable them to
escape the vicious cycle of abuse and regain their self-worth. We
will equip, enable and inspire them through Jesus Christ.
Our
Primary Purpose...
Our
hope and prayer for the women who commit to the 6- to 18-month program
is to give them a well-grounded, well-balanced life. We intend to
do this by laying out a Bible-based discipleship program along with
individual studies geared toward specific needs and hurts. We will
also assist in furthering the women’s education, along with
teaching them basic skills to help them function in today's society,
such as balancing a budget, and writing a resume. Many abusers restrict
victims' access to finances and the ability to support themselves
financially. Domestic violence victims often end a violent relationship
with serious economic concerns that range from credit issues, lack
of financial knowledge, limited budgeting experience, and limited
resources. One of our goals is to bring victims of domestic violence
back into the economic mainstream by providing them with the tools
necessary to build their economic futures along with helping them
gain their independence and make the necessary choices to better
their own lives and the lives of their children.
Your Help is Needed...
We have a monumental task ahead of us. We need approximately $10,000
to renovate the home we have been blessed to lease at a minimal
cost per year. We also need monthly pledges to assist in operating
the home. Our estimated budget is about $3,500 per month. Our prayer
is that you will help us with this endeavor. Your support will do
so much to establish and maintain Esther House and enable these
deserving women to create a new life for themselves and their children.
The
Journey Begins...
The number of physically abused women is staggering. Statistics
tell us that one in three women experience some form of domestic
violence. We must keep in mind that these numbers come from those
battered women who seek help. Many women are not included statistically
because they keep secret the suffering and indignity of abuse. The
Journey of 1,000 miles begins with just one step, we are asking
that you take the first step with us.
